Position Summary
  • Engineer supporting the Engineering Manufacturing team, you are responsible for handling facilities, equipment, and personnel to manufacture medical device products, following established standards and procedures (e.g., cGMP and SOPs), driving growth, and optimizing and improving the manufacturing process at our Manufacturing Facility in Fort Worth North, TX.
  • This role will support 24/7 plant operations.

 

Duties:

 In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Designs manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts for equipment installation.
  • Designs arrangement of machines within plant facilities to ensure most efficient and productive layout.
  • Adapts machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions.
  • Ensures processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations.
  • Develops user and design requirements, selects equipment vendors, or completes the technology design and equipment build.
  • Manages the installation of automation systems while ensuring safety, and validating the automated system for alignment to requirements, CGMPs, and intended system operation.
  • Supports Automation Technicians in situations where problem solving, or technology may fall outside of their area of expertise.
  • Interacts with production supervisors/managers to identify areas to improve equipment efficiency, flexibility, quality, safety, and/or reliability.
  • Implements automation solutions resulting from MNC investigations or CAPA assignments.
  • Plans and carries out engineering project work with minimal direction.
  • Troubleshoots equipment/process control systems and change control activities.
  • Programs PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems, and inspection systems.
  • Leads small capital projects.
  • Designs and implements modifications to the existing manufacturing equipment that will improve the operational efficiencies.
Qualifications:
  • No specific education requirements.
  • 5-10 years of experience.
  • High-Speed Packaging experience.
  • Controls Background.

 

Preferred:

  • Experience in a regulated industry (manufacturing preferred).
  • PLC/SCADA/Vision System Programming.
  • Machine Integration.
  • Machine Specifications, Procurement, Install, and Validation for Packaging.
  • Project Management experience.
